Heaven and Hell

The book "New Move" was intended to be presented in a unique way, deviating from a typical book introduction. A concept was developed to create a movable element without sacrificing the space in which one can move. The resulting suspended element, which can be pulled, opens the folded volume at its four central corners, resembling a "Himmel-und-Hölle" (paper fortune teller) game but with opening possibilities along two axes.

Initially unassuming in its white color from the outside, pulling on it reveals new perspectives, and inside, graphical elements form the word "Move," visible through black-and-white striped bars that, when viewed from the correct angle, represent the letters. This dynamic presentation simultaneously captures various movements within a movable image, a concept transferable to the pages of the book "New Move," inviting readers to immerse themselves in its content.

The element was constructed using a folding technique inspired by the "Heaven and Hell" game. However, inside, it doesn't reveal just heaven or hell but rather showcases the diversity of movable architecture. The volume is connected at its four wings with black ropes, which are, in turn, attached to rubber bands and springs. In the center, there is a rope that can be pulled, facilitating the opening and closing of the element. In its initial state, the outer lower corners are held together by magnets, so its interior is only revealed through the pulling force when the element is positioned without any external force at the top.
